Wallpaper for a child’s room for every stage of life

For babies and toddlers (0-3 years)

For the youngest children, it is important to create a calm and cozy atmosphere. Choose wallpaper in soft pastel colors, such as beige, baby blue, light pink or mint. The designs should be unobtrusive: abstract shapes or gentle animals, landscapes that promote calmness.

For example, in one of our design projects, we used wallpaper in a neutral palette, creating a calm atmosphere. And for expressiveness, we focused attention on one of the walls, where drawings of cute animals were used. This design is an ideal option for a child’s room, since it combines neutrality and tenderness, suitable for both babies and older children. This design solution allows the interior to remain relevant for many years, adapting to the changing needs and interests of the child.

For preschoolers (3-6 years)

At this age, children begin to actively explore the world around them, so wallpaper can be chosen with brighter and more exciting pictures. These can be pictures of favorite characters, animals, vehicles or even fantastic creatures. The colors can also be brighter: orange, yellow, green, but it is important to maintain a balance so that the room is not too bright and does not overload the child. For children of this age, you can choose wallpaper with educational elements that promote development. For example, options in the form of a world map or alphabet wallpaper for an interesting study of the alphabet.

For children of primary school age (6-9 years)

At this age, children increasingly develop their interests, so wallpaper can be chosen depending on their hobbies: sports, nature, space, art, science. This is also a great time for more specific prints, for example, with book or cartoon characters. Wallpaper in colors that stimulate creativity and activity are suitable for this age, including bright shades of red, yellow, orange and green.

When developing a design, it is important to take into account the child’s wishes to create a comfortable and functional space.

For teenagers (9-16 years)

Teenagers already have clear preferences and a desire to express their individuality, so wallpaper for their rooms can be more stylish and even bold. Geometric patterns, stylized images, various graphics, urban motifs or abstractions are appropriate here. Teenagers can choose colors that match their mood: from neutral (gray, black, white) to saturated (red, blue, purple).

When designing rooms for kids, we use wallpaper with trendy prints that reflect the interests and hobbies of this age group. As designers, the choice may include graphic motifs, abstractions, sports or technological elements that blend harmoniously with other aspects of the interior, creating a stylish and functional atmosphere.

For teenage girls’ rooms, we suggest choosing wallpaper with delicate floral or pastel prints to create a romantic atmosphere, or graphic and geometric patterns for a modern and stylish look. We also use wallpaper with landscapes or nature motifs. For those who like bright colors, we choose rich accents that give the room energy and personality.
