This year, our project Adventure Nest received the Bronze Award in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category — a recognition that highlights its innovation and functionality.

The award is the result of meticulous work aimed at creating a space that not only meets contemporary design standards but also considers children’s developmental needs.

About the Interior Space and Exhibition Design Award

The Interior Space and Exhibition Design Award is one of the key categories of the A’ Design Award. It covers a broad range of interior design solutions — from residential and kids’ rooms to commercial spaces, showrooms, exhibition stands, and art installations.

The evaluation focuses not only on aesthetics but also on designers’ ability to create spaces that work for people — functional, thoughtful, innovative, and comfortable for everyday use.

Architects and designers from around the world participate in this category, showcasing their approaches to layout, zoning, materials, lighting, and ergonomics. The jury highlights projects that introduce new ideas or set modern standards in interior design.

About the Adventure Nest Project

Adventure Nest is a custom-designed kids’ room developed by FeliFam as a multi-level environment for two young adventurers. The concept combines functionality, play, physical activity, and comfort, transforming an ordinary room into a complete world for learning, creativity, and discovery.

Inspiration

The main inspiration behind the project was the children themselves — their endless curiosity, imagination, and energy. The goal was to create a space where they could play, grow, and rest in comfort and safety.

Challenge

The key challenge was to balance safety, functionality, and aesthetics. The team needed to design structures that support active play while maintaining comfort. Production capabilities, safety standards, and child development expectations all shaped the design approach.

Functionality

In the morning, the kids wake up in their cozy beds, with everything they need within easy reach. Smart storage solutions help them stay organized and independent.

Later in the day, the room transforms into an active play zone, offering personal areas for games, reading, or relaxation. Safe stairs with integrated drawers save space and teach independence.

Realization

FeliFam produced custom kids’ furniture using modern technologies and child-safe materials. The process included 3D modeling, CNC milling, and eco-friendly water-based paint with protective lacquer.

Adjustable elements allow the furniture to “grow” with the children, while high-quality fittings ensure durability and safety.
